Durango In A Nut Shell

1.  Learning to drive in the snow- not as bad as I thought it would be (didn’t stall once, but a few burnouts)

2.   Making a wood fire … Now that is what I call a true Canadian!

3.   Walking into a weed shop, -“Oh man, this isn’t the massage place?”

4.   Epic snowshoe with Payson, such a nice way to spend a day. It was freezing cold weather but major props from the epic man himself - Howard

5. Lost my phone while snowshoeing … so cold that I didn’t or couldn’t do up my zipper on my jacket, Victoria weather does not prepare you for Colorado weather. Went back snowshoeing the next day looking for my phone but had no luck. Came home to Victoria phoneless. What luck though, someone found it up on the mountain. What are the chances?

6.  Cyclists can eat a batch of cookies in less than an hour-“maybe I will do an extra hour on my ride tomorrow to burn off the chocolate chip cookies?”

7.   “Family” night board games- nothing beats Scrabble and Cranium

8.   No Wifi in cold weather means playing board games!

9.     Only cyclists would hold a one arm plank off at a party on a Saturday night.

10.  Between Ben and I we went through a bag of coffee beans every three days (those coffee machines are way too easy) Can you ever drink too much coffee? If so when is it too much?

I had such a blast in Colorado. I will definitely be returning there in the future. This trip would not have been possible without the support of Global Relay Fund. Also a huge thank-you to Ben and Carmen for welcoming me into their home.
